Honors

Pastor Gary Thomas of Elam Baptist Church in Gray and his wife, Judy, present a cake in honor of 25 years at Elam Baptist Church in Gray. The event took place at the church's 207th homecoming.

Ordinations

Chris McCorkle was recently ordained as a deacon at First Baptist Church in Warrenton. His father Jack, a deacon of Calvary Baptist in Dearing, offered the ordination prayer.

Bobby Lunsford was ordained as a deacon on Sept. 20 at Fairview Baptist Church in Rossville.

Retirements

Jim Elliott (Altamaha and New Sunbury associations) and Fred Rowell (Morgan County Association) officially retired Sept. 30.

Revival Reports

Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Demorest held revival services Sept. 13-16 with evangelist Keith Fordham. Pastor Russ Barker reports two transfers of letter, five professing faith in Christ, and three coming forward for believers baptism.

Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Bowen Baptist Association has welcomed Greg Ford as pastor.

Jamie McMillan has joined West Bainbridge Baptist Church in Bowen Association as pastor.

Thomas Snead was recently welcomed as pastor of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Bowen Association.

Buddy Wasson

Savannah Baptist Association recently elected Rothell "Buddy" Wasson as associational missionary. Wasson had served as interim for the past three years.

James Williamson recently began as pastor of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Bowen Association.
