Georgia Revival UpdateA look at what God is doing through revival and spiritual awakeningPublished June 3, 2004
Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Camilla held revival services Feb. 8-11 with Bailey Smith as the evangelist. Pastor Brian Salter reports there were 33 professions of faith and 12 other decisions.
Gary Johnson, pastor of Lincolnton Baptist Church near Augusta, reports that 321 persons came to faith in Christ during a three-day crusade May 2-5. The event, which spanned parts of five counties, was led by evangelist Rick Gage. In addition to the professions of faith, 256 other decisions were also recorded.
New Hope Baptist Church in Madison saw 31 professions of faith and 28 dedications during its revival in March. Pastor Michael Pitchett baptized 31 on Easter Sunday. He credits much of the revival results to laity who participated in a S.A.V.E.D seminar led by the GBC Evangelism Ministries office. |
