The Index now on Flickr, Facebook

DULUTH — As an added feature in covering the work of Georgia Baptists, The Index now has a home on the popular photo-sharing site Flickr as well as the social network Facebook.

Readers can go to www.flickr.com/photos/christianindex to see pictures of Georgia Baptists serving in the state, country, and around the world. A feature of the website is the ability to click on “Map” either at the top of the page or below each photo to see the location where the photo was taken. Continue clicking on the highlighted point on the map to advance the photo set or click on the photo itself for more information.

At the right of the page are “Collections” that contain “Sets” of photos. Each set is made up of pictures regarding a particular church or ministry.

Facebook members can join The Index group by going to www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=15600673435&ref=mf or emailing Index production editor Scott Barkley at sbarkley@christianindex.org. Pictures from a recent missions trip or ministry outreach event may be submitted to Flickr by contacting Barkley via email or calling (770) 936-5599 or (877) 424-6339.
