FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — The Georgia Baptist Mission Board’s Communications team received its highest number of awards for professional excellence in its history Friday night (April 21) during the annual meeting of the Baptist Communicators Association.

Nine awards – four first place, three second place, and two third place – were awarded in the categories of graphic design, interactive communications (website), and audio-visual communications.

The Georgia Baptist winners competed against other Southern Baptist state conventions and national agencies who submitted 433 entries in the annual competition. Kathie Chute, awards chair and director of communications at Gateway Seminary (formerly Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary), said the submissions were the second highest in the history of the 64-year old, 300-member organization.

Rod Hampton sits in the Life With Purpose Radio studio on the third floor of the Georgia Baptist Missions and Ministry Center in Duluth and is part of the LWP team.
