A clear conscience

Posted

Read Acts 20:17-38.

The Apostle Paul is leaving the Ephesian elders for the last time. He is heading to Jerusalem where he knows there will be conflict. However, as he closes this chapter of his life he can look back with a clear conscience.

He has kept back nothing from the Ephesians. He has taught them the whole counsel of God both publicly and privately. He has strategically prepared them to do spiritual battle against the evil one. Now, Paul can go forward and face the new challenges that the Lord has for him. He has faithfully fulfilled the task that God gave him to do.

How about you? Have you been faithful to do what God has called you to do? Could you go forward knowing that you have been faithful to the task that the Lord has given to you? What have you left undone?
