“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
Someone has called Romans 8:28, “A soft pillow for a tired heart.” This is without question one of the greatest promises for the child of God in all Scripture. It will bring rest to the weary, strength to the weak, and peace to a heart torn apart by worry and fear.
This promise does not state all things are good simply because they are not. But this verse does promise that the God who is all-powerful, all-knowing, and eternally loving will take all thingsand work them out for our good and His glory. And for this we can rest in Him in the midst of the greatest of storms.
