Children's Coordinator

Friendship Baptist Church in Cartersville has an opportunity for a cheerful, energetic, Christ-honoring, children and family loving person to serve as our Director of Children's ministries. This is a part-time postion. Interested candidates should send resumes and/or questions to:


 Principle Functions:

The Children’s Director is responsible for evaluating, overseeing, planning, coordinating, and implementing the church’s children’s program for children from birth to 5th grade aged students within the church. 


1 First and foremost, the Children’s Director must be a Christian, and be an example of Christ to others in his/her day-to-day life.

2 Should be a member of Friendship Baptist Church. If the applicant for the job is not currently a member of the church at the time of the interview process, he/she should express the desire and intent to become a member of the church upon being hired to the position.

3 Have a passion for children’s ministry and to see families grow in their faith together.

4 Be able to teach and explain the bible to children in such a way that they can understand it.

5 Have some previous experience working with children at a church beforehand.

6 Be able to connect with children on a personal, but appropriate level.

7 Be able to form positive relationships with parents.

8 Have a good working relationship with others.

9 Be able to accept advice and criticism.

10 Be reliable, take initiative, and be self-motivated.

11 Give attention to details and strive for excellence.

12 Use appropriate judgment in the areas of discretion, sensitivity, and confidentiality.

13 Competency with basic computer software and the capacity to learn new software.

14 Be a leader by example.

15 Pass a background check.
