Position Opening: Families and Children’s Pastor/Director Location: First Baptist Church of Hazlehurst, Georgia Contact: mail@fbchazlehurst.org First Baptist Church of Hazlehurst, GA, is prayerfully seeking a Families and Children’s Pastor/Director who is called by God to serve, disciple, and nurture the next generation of believers. Our mission is to Glorify Jesus Christ, Grow disciples and Go and Fulfill the Great Commission. This ministry is vital in engaging families in a Christ-centered community that builds a strong foundation of faith. The Families and Children’s Pastor/Director will provide spiritual leadership and vision for children (birth through 5th grade) and their families, helping to equip parents as the primary faith influencers in their homes. This is a full-time pastoral/director role that involves team building, strategic planning, and hands-on ministry both inside and outside the church walls. Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee all children’s ministry programming and events. Recruit, train, and shepherd volunteers and ministry teams. Partner with parents and equip families to disciple their children at home. Develop and implement a biblically-based curriculum for all children’s ministry environments. Engage with the local community and schools to reach new families. Support the broader mission and vision of the church under the leadership of the Senior Pastor Qualifications: A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a calling to serve in children’s and family ministry. Experience in children’s or family ministry (volunteer or paid) preferred. Must have the ability to lead, communicate, and organize effectively.
