Full-time Pastor of Hispanic Ministries

The First Baptist Church of Fairburn is a growing, multi-ethnic congregation on the southwest side of the Atlanta metropolitan area. We are seeking a full-time Pastor of Hispanic Ministries to engage our community. With families from 10 countries from South America, Central America, and the Caribbean in our membership, we have a diverse group ready to engage Fairburn with the Gospel. Basic responsibilities will include Sunday morning Bible Study, midweek Bible Study, monthly and quarterly engagements, investment in the lives of our Hispanic members through other activities and outreach. Further responsibilities will be that of a Pastor in the local church, building cross-generational relationships, and making disciples in our community. The Pastor of Hispanic Ministries will report directly to the Lead Pastor. As a church with a large span of ethnic diversity, we desire that our Pastor of Hispanic Ministries possess an ability to build relationships cross-culturally. We are seeking applicants who have proven track records of reaching first, second, and third generation Hispanics and incorporating these families into the larger church family. The ability to teach and apply Scripture is required for this position. Greater consideration will be given to candidates who have demonstrated experience in a multi-ethnic ministry setting. It is preferable that candidates have: a, a seminary degree; b, a college degree in the field of Christian ministry; or c, be in progress to receiving one of the aforementioned degrees.
