Seeking an energetic, cheerful, dynamic person who is a growing disciple of Christ and is passionate about students (Grades 6-12) and seeing them discipled to their fullest potential here at Cumming Baptist Church in Cumming GA. The position responsibilities will include direct oversight and leadership of students (6th-12th grade), equipping parents, and training volunteers in a gospel focused, fun, relevant, disciple making ministry that guides our youth to grow loving God and living for him. Basic qualifications include a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ, competence in organization and interpersonal relationships and preferred student ministry experience. Commentary: Home for the holidays

Of all the things on our wish lists for Christmas each year, being home for the holidays with the people we love ranks at the top for most. So profound is the desire that we sing about it: I’ll be home for Christmas, you can count on me, Please have snow and mistletoe, And presents under the tree. . . . I'll be home for Christmas, If only in my dreams.

Commentary: Christmas for a dark world

People struggle from the end of November to the beginning of January. The holidays are difficult. Unrealistic expectations clash with cold hard realities. Everyone around us is pretending and projecting the same false narrative –“All is merry and bright.”
