Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a Pastor.

Mt Vernon is currently comprised of an older, conservative congregation with a regular membership attendance of 50. We have been prayerfully seeking a vibrant, effective communicator and impactful disciple maker with a strong inclination to raise up the next generation of believers in our church, in our community and beyond. Mt Vernon has a reputation for its faithful and generous giving. We are seeking an enthusiastic shepherd with both a heart for our elderly and a burden for the lost.

It is of great importance that our pastor be full time, live locally (parsonage available if desired), have a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited seminary and be in agreement with the doctrinal beliefs as described in the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 revision.

Mt Vernon is a small church in Gray’s Creek, a suburb of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Living in Gray’s Creek offers residents a suburban rural mix feel. We are surrounded by new housing sub-divisions and find ourselves well placed for amazing potential for growth!

United Autoworkers strikes spread to Chicago and Lansing as 7,000 more workers join the picket line

DETROIT (AP) — The United Auto Workers union says its two-week strike against Detroit automakers will spread to 7,000 more workers at a Ford plant in Chicago and a General Motors assembly factory near Lansing, Michigan. Union President Shawn Fain told workers on a video appearance Friday that negotiations haven’t broken down but Ford and GM have refused to make meaningful progress. Jeep maker Stellantis was spared from the third round of strikes.
