It’s always great to go on a mission trip! But it’s also great to celebrate another team’s trip. We can pray for them as they prepare. We can pray alongside them as they go. Praying for safety on the trip, praying for Divine appointments, praying for effectiveness in sharing the Gospel, praying for positive results in the projects they endeavor, and praying for the seeds planted to grow into missional fruit for years to come. Some of our sister churches have taken or are planning to take mission trips, and we want to rejoice with them. Perhaps you could also add these to your church’s prayer list.

Here’s a list to pray for:

In March this year, the Piedmont-Okefenokee Baptist Association in the Southeast Region hosted a mission trip to Oaxaca, Mexico, and in May, they hosted a trip to Imbabura, Ecuador. We pray for ongoing work from the relationships built on those trips.

In June, Montgomery Memorial Baptist Church of Gainesville in the Northeast Region took a mission trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama. We celebrate with MMBC that the Lord used them on this trip.

In July, Iron City Baptist Church in the Southwest Region made a mission trip to Panama City, Florida. We praise the Lord with them for their labor of love there.

In July, the Houston Baptist Association in the Southwest Region took a trip to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Their convention, now called the Baptist Resource Network of Pennsylvania and South Jersey, is home to two large SEND cities, and Pittsburgh is one of them. We are praying for great connections with the church planters of those cities.

In September this year, the First Baptist Church of Winterville in the Northeast Region is going to Belize City. We celebrate with them the opportunity that the Lord is opening up for them to minister and witness in a spiritually dark place.

And Lord willing, the Georgia Baptist Association in the Northeast Region is going to Mildford, New Hampshire in October this year. The Baptist Convention of New England is in partnership with the Northeast Region of Georgia.

We should celebrate every church’s mission trip. Whether your trip is the first ever or the first in a long time, it is good for sister churches to pray for those trips. If your church is planning or has taken a mission trip somewhere this year (local, regional, national, or international), let us know by registering it on www.bit.ly/ourmissiontrip
