Gratitude for a debt free Missions and Ministry Center

I just saw the wonderful “$25 Million Dollar” announcement in The Christian Index regarding the Baptist Missions and Ministry Center, and as a retiree I wanted to take time to say Congratulations to the Convention on this very exciting news! Praise to the Lord’s provision, and thank you Georgia Baptist Healthcare Ministry Foundation for providing the funds!

When I read the article, I was so thrilled that tears welled up, and I said, “God, You Are Astounding!” It is such wonderful news that more monies will now be free for the ongoing work.

I know that joy and a renewed energy have filled your hearts and I share in the joy along with you. This event is also a personal reminder; although we may not see evidence of a blessing in the works, our Father always has the best answer in store.

As a retiree, I have continued to pray for all of you, your work, for the churches and their gifts, and for those you are reaching. I am taking this opportunity to say you are all loved and appreciated for what you do.

WAKE FOREST, N.C. — During celebrations of the Akins’ 20-year anniversary, Southeastern announced a new endowment in honor of Mrs. Charlotte Akin. Gaines encourages Awakening attendees at Southwestern Seminary to ‘pray like it matters’
