'The Heartbeat Bill' needs your help

Posted

Today is one of the most hopeful days I have had in the State Capitol. We are grateful to Chairman Sharon Cooper and members of the Health and Human Services who passed “The Heartbeat Bill” (House Bill 481) out of their committee last night. We are also grateful that Governor Brian Kemp and his staff are actively supporting it. Governor Kemp just released a video and an interview emphasizing his strong commitment to this bill.

To be clear on the process, this bill must pass the House of Representatives today in order to make it to the State Senate before the end of the legislative session and on to the governor’s desk. For that to happen, we need your immediate help! Please take a minute to send an email right now!

You can find your State Representative by visiting www.mvp.sos.ga.gov and entering your personal information. Their email address will be in this format: firstname.lastname@house.ga.gov

Kindly send them a short note asking them to support efforts in the Rules Committee to move HB 481, “The Heartbeat Bill,” to the floor of the House for a vote. Also ask them to support it in that vote.

Again, this one of the most hopeful days I have had as we work toward protecting innocent human life created in the image of God. I am grateful to the Lord that we have a governor who joins us in this fight and we would sincerely appreciate you taking a minute right now to help!

Georgia, Heartbeat Bill, pro-life
