Helen Potter to be honored, remembered this weekend

Helen Potter, wife of Pastor Clarence Potter, died June 23 after an extended battle with cancer. She was 47. She served alongside her husband, who currently serves as pastor of City of Blessings Church in Covington, during their marriage of more than 19 years.

Potter, who held a bachelor’s degree in Early Education, fulfilled various roles in the church and was known as an exemplary leader as well as an example of a virtuous woman. The couple have a nine-year-old son, Clarence Isaiah “Little C” Potter. Visitation will be Friday, July 5 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Diving Mortuary in Lithonia, with a viewing Saturday, July 6, from 10-11 a.m. at Zion Baptist Church in Covington.
