DULUTH — With the Georgia Baptist Mission Board working to better prepare and resource its 3,600 churches, there is no better time to be a part of the Mission Georgia statewide offering.
The annual giving emphasis will carry the theme of “Strength•en,” derived from Acts 16:5: “So the churches were strengthened in their faith and grew daily in numbers” (CSB).
That echoes the Mission Board’s current restructuring process, which places a high priority on church strength and pastor wellness.
Free materials are available to churches. Those materials include promotional posters, offering envelopes, a seven-day prayer guide printable logos, and a promotional video. The logos and prayer guides are available in both English and Spanish.
While the suggested emphasis month is September, the materials are undated. So, churches have flexibility to choose a different time. The offering goal is $1.75 million.
In addition to ordering information, the Mission Georgia website offers outreach opportunities. Those include evangelism and construction projects in Atlanta, Savannah, the Golden Isles, Troup County, and Appalachia. Those interested can also minister among Atlanta’s burgeoning entertainment industry as well as throughout the state assisting others to learn English as a second language. Disaster Relief also provides the chance to reach others for Christ.
