DULUTH, Ga. – The latest edition of the Georgia Baptist Journal has been mailed to pastors and other church leaders across the state.

The quarterly publication of the Georgia Baptist Mission Board is filled with informative articles intended to help equip churches in reaching the lost, discipling new believers, encouraging pastors, and strengthening congregations.

The U.S. Postal Service delivered the 12-page newspaper to some recipients over the past week. Others will be receiving them soon.

“We’re publishing the Journal so that Georgia Baptist church leaders can read about all the great things that are happening,” said John Courtney, head of research and development at the GBMB. “We want to inform church leaders of opportunities they have to partner together to grow their ministries and to reach all of Georgia with the Gospel.”

The latest edition includes articles about Mission Georgia, church security training, church marketing strategies and more.

The Journal goes to a mailing list that includes pastors, deacon board chairmen, church WMU directors, associational missionaries, and others in leadership roles in local churches.

“Every article in there is beneficial to church life, to empowering churches and church leaders, to multiplying, to being more effective in ministry,” Courtney said.
