'But I can see you.'

Scripture for today: Hebrews 11:1.

One night a house caught fire and a young boy was forced to escape to the roof. With arms outstretched, his father yelled from the ground below, "Jump! I'll catch you!" realizing this was his boy’s only chance of survival. With the lad frozen in fear, covered in a blanket of flames, smoke, and blackness, the father continued to scream, "Jump! I will catch you!"

“Daddy, I can't see you," said the son.

“But I can see you and that's all that matters,” assured the father.

Many people struggle to believe because they can’t see God. It’s natural to say, “Seeing is believing.” It’s supernatural to say, “Believing is seeing.” As the Bible says, “Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, and the conviction of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1).

You can’t see God, but He can see you. Not only can He see you, He knows you. And best of all, He loves you. In fact, he loves you so much so that He sent His Son Jesus to die in your place on the Cross. There’s no doubt about that!
