MARTINEZ, Ga. — Abilene Baptist Church is excited to announce its 250th Anniversary Celebration, taking place this Sunday, April 21, at 10:30 AM at the Columbia County Performing Arts Center in Evans.
Founded two years before the United States in 1774, Abilene Baptist Church has been a cornerstone of the community, providing biblical teaching for generations. The 250th Anniversary Celebration is a testament to the church's enduring legacy and commitment to its congregation and the community.
The celebration service will include presentations by elected officials and worship led by the Abilene worship choir and orchestra.
"We are incredibly grateful for the last 250 years of ministry and service in the community," said the church's senior pastor, Dr. Brad Whitt. "This celebration is a time to reflect on God's faithfulness to our church and to look ahead with hope and excitement for what is to come."
