DULUTH – Now is the time. This is the theme of this year’s Georgia Baptist Mission Board Evangelism Conference, which will be January 25-26 at Central Baptist Church in Warner Robins.

Levi Skipper, lead strategist of Church Strengthening, said the free conference is intended to inspire and instruct pastors and leaders in the area of evangelism.

“The theme this year is Now is the Time,” Skipper said. “There is no better time than now to capitalize on gospel opportunities.”

There will be a variety of speakers this year, including Shane Pruitt, Jerry Vines, Richard Blackaby, and Fred Luter. For a full list of speakers, visit https://gabaptist.org/events/conference/.

“We’ve chosen a speaker line up for every generation in the church,” Skipper said.

Skipper also said there is one major difference for this year’s conference:  Registration is required. This allows the mission board to keep up with the number of people planning to attend the event.

“We will follow the protocols for COVID-19 that the host church has,” Skipper said.

Skipper noted that there are also lunch options available to choose from at registration. The first option is a free lunch specifically for those in the Evangelism Coaches’ program.

The other two options for lunch will cost $10 and will feature different guest speakers. Shane Pruitt, Next Gen leader at the North American Mission Board, will discuss strategies for reaching the next generation with the gospel at the Next Generation Breakout Lunch. The other lunch and learn will feature a discussion on the importance of the Great Commission, led by Jordan Easley, author of Resuscitating Evangelism.
