Gaddis accepts pastorate at First Baptist Dallas in Paulding County

DALLAS — After 18 years serving as senior pastor at First Baptist Church in LaFayette, Todd Gaddis accepted the same position at First Baptist Dallas, beginning in February.

Before coming to Georgia, Gaddis worked as development officer at Williams Baptist College in northeast Arkansas as well as pastor of two churches in western Kentucky. In Kentucky, he served on the executive board of the Kentucky Baptist Convention. In LaFayette, he was a member and past president of the Lion's Club, served on the boards of the local library and Empty Stocking Fund – which provides food for needy families at Christmas – in addition to being chaplain of the LaFayette High School football team. 

As a student at Southwestern Seminary, Gaddis and his wife, Charlene, did partnership work in Australia and church planting in metro Detroit. Over the years he's conducted Bible teaching, pastor training, and evangelistic work seven times in India and once in Africa. 

Gaddis recently authored his 11th book, Faith ESSENTIALS: Timeless Truths for Spiritual Birth and Growth. Other books include Unsearchable Things: Communicate Better with God (2015), Prophecy 3.0: Return to Me and I Will Return to You (2012), Upon this Rock (2011), The Spiritual IT Factor (2010), Journey to the Center of Love (2009), Reclaim Your Body - Restore Your Soul (2008), Money and More: The Quest for Generous Living (2007), The Great Curse Reversal (2006), Escape From Wits’ End (2005) and The Compliments of Christ (2004). He has also contributed to LifeWay publications over the years through the entity's magazines, blogs, and sermon outlines, with articles appearing in Leadership, Focus on the Family, Pray, War Cry, and PRAYERCONNECT.
