DULUTH, Ga. – Church leaders have immediate access to all the downloadable resources they need to promote September’s Mission Georgia offering, including a series of promotional videos and printable materials on the Georgia Baptist Mission Board website at https://missiongeorgia.org/offering/.

The 3,600 churches of the Georgia Baptist Convention set aside September for the Mission Georgia offering, which provides funding for strategic ministry that help churches share the gospel within the state’s borders.

It’s one of three major offerings designated by the Georgia Baptist Convention. The others are the Lottie Moon Christmas offering to support international missions and the Annie Armstrong Easter offering to support North American missions.

Mission Georgia has been specifically focusing on some of the most pressing issues in the state. Through Mission Georgia, teenage girls forced into prostitution by human traffickers are being rescued. Orphaned children who had been stuck in foster care are getting forever families. Mothers-to-be are getting the prenatal care and counseling they need to deliver healthy babies. Kids who can’t read are getting the educational help they need to not only catch up with their classmates but to excel in the classroom. And immigrants from other countries who settle in Georgia are finding homes, getting jobs and learning English.

Lorna Bius, mobilizer for Mission Georgia, said Mission Georgia seeks to provide gospel-centered care in every Georgia community through local churches. But, she said, that can’t happen without financial support.

“It’s thrilling, really, to see how Georgia Baptists are coming together to impact our state,” she said.
