Obituary: Nancy Reynolds, wife of New Work Foundation Executive Director Charles Reynolds

Nancy Reynolds - One of Grace... The Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. Psalm 84:11. Everywhere she went her infectious smile and the twinkle in her eyes communicated that love and grace to everyone she met. Nancy had but one goal in life - that was to encourage, to lift and to add value to everyone she met. In this, God gave Charles (her husband) the perfect ministry partner as they served churches over the past 35 years together in Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Louisiana, and Georgia. Nancy had a desire that everyone find Hope even in the most difficult circumstances through a relationship in the Lord Jesus Christ.

The greatest joy in her life was when she had the opportunity to serve as the Activities Director at Merryvale Assisted Living, in Oxford, GA. Nancy was a member of First Baptist Church of
Covington, Georgia.

During those days which were so tough, Nancy found happiness in spending time as "Grammy" with Malachi and Levi. Nancy's only regret was not living long enough to see the third grandson who is scheduled to be born in November. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Jackson, Sr. and Evelyn Starnes Maples; sister, Gail Mayer; and brother, Earl Maples.

Survivors include her loving husband, Charles Reynolds; sons, Jonathan Reynolds (Shannon), Benjamin Reynolds; grandchildren, Malachi Reynolds, Levi Reynolds, and one on the way; sisters, Jane Worthington (Don), Melinda Cowger (Paul); brother, Randy Maples (Susan); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life for Nancy will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022, 3:00 P.M., at First Baptist Church of Conyers, 2100 Highway 138, in Conyers, with Rev. Charles Reynolds officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the church, two hours prior to her service, from 1:00 – 2:45 P.M. The service will be streamed at  https://youtube.com/c/fbcconyers.

To fulfill Nancy's wishes, she has asked that no flowers be sent to the family, but that she be honored and remembered through gifts made to the New Work Foundation, P. O. Box 911, Conyers, GA 30012.

The New Work Foundation covers a 5 County area in the Atlanta Metro with 1.7 million people of which 82% of those folks have never darkened the door of a church. God has brought the mission field to Atlanta with over 33 different cultures represented.
