Wynez Elizabeth Roe, 79, of Windsor, SC passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025.
Born in Aiken County, SC, she was a daughter of the late George Samuel Roe and Myrtis E. Couch Roe. She was a member of Clearwater Branch Baptist Church and received a Financial Bachelor’s Degree in Atlanta. She previously worked for the Georgia Baptist Missionary Association, was on the Missionary Board, and was an auditor for the Georgia Baptist Association. She also worked with a number of Reading Programs while with the association. Ms. Roe loved to bake and cook different foods, also enjoyed looking at old coins.
Survivors include a brother, Ralph Roe, Sr. of Windsor, SC; a sister-in-law, Essie Mae Roe of Jacksonville, FL; nieces and nephews, Tammy (Smith) Nunn of John’s Island, SC, Ralph “Bubba” (Dee Byrd) Roe, Jr. of Windsor, SC, Jennifer (Brooks) Abney of Aiken, SC, Rhonda (Chuck) Shaver of Aiken, SC, Jimmy (Michelle) DuRant of Aiken, SC, Allen (Julie) DuRant of Aiken, SC, Chris (Suzie) Roe of Florida, Samantha (Johnny) Ban of Winnsboro, SC, Kristena Nunn of Charleston, SC, Kylee Byrd of Windsor, SC, Caley (David) Crowe of Chapin, SC, Holden (Allie) Shaver of Greenville, SC and a number of great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Lillie Mae Agner; brothers, George Roe, Paul Edgar Roe, Sr. and John David Roe; nephews, David Wayne Roe, Paul Edgar Roe, Jr. and Earl Sutton.
