DALLAS, Ga. — An EF-1 tornado with maximum winds of 105 to 110 mph touched down in central Paulding County late Saturday, March 15, 2025, according to the National Weather Service. The twister hit at 11:41 PM EST and spun up within a strong line of thunderstorms moving rapidly towards the northeast.
Several homes in Paulding County were damaged, and trees and power lines were downed across the area. The Paulding County Sheriff's Office wrote on Facebook, "Despite the damage, it's a blessing that no one was seriously injured. We saw neighbors helping neighbors, coming together in a remarkable show of unity and care."
Georgia Baptist Disaster Relief chainsaw teams responded to the area as well, and will return on Monday to continue assisting homeowners.
