Longtime associational missionary Doyle Middlebrooks, most recently of Lilburn, died July 6. He was 96.
Middlebrooks was a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary who served throughout Georgia as assistant pastor at Kirkwood Baptist in Atlanta, pastor of First Baptist Church in Austell, and director of missions for Washington Baptist Association. In retirement he served as pastor of Union Baptist Church in Warthen.
He is survived by children Janice Rogers, of Waxhaw, NC, Larry Middlebrooks, of Lilburn, and Charles Middlebrooks, of Waco, TX; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Stella Lou, and a grandson, Brian Rogers.

Bellview Baptist Church in Rockmart will have revival services Aug. 27-30. Buck Burch, Georgia Baptist Mission Board state missionary in Cooperative Program Development, will speak at the Sunday morning service on Aug. 27 at 11 a.m. before a concert that evening at 6 p.m. by Scarlet Wool. Blake Dodd, pastor of Young's Grove Baptist Church in Cedartown, will preach at the 7 p.m. meetings Monday, Aug. 28 through Wednesday, Aug. 30. Music for the Aug. 28 gathering will be provided by the Young's Grove Choir while the Polk Co. Senior Choir will sing Aug. 29.
