Trent Smith celebrates 25 years as Hazel Creek’s pastor

MOUNT AIRY, Ga. – Hazel Creek Baptist Church in Mount Airy has celebrated Pastor Trent Smith’s 25^th anniversary leading the northeast Georgia congregation.

Smith and his wife Kelly began their ministry at Hazel Creek on Sept. 1, 1997. In the years since, the church has performed 249 baptisms, ordained six pastors and 28 deacons, and completed 11 mission projects.

The church is a major Cooperative Program supporter, giving nearly 10 percent of its budget every year to support the work of missionaries in Georgia, across North America and around the world.
