ROCKMART — Victory Baptist Church in Rockmart has expanded their facilities once again. On May 18, 2014 the church moved into their new worship center that seated 775 persons.

It has not taken long for the church to outgrow its new sanctuary. Pastor Barry Snapp recently explained that the church’s average worship attendance is now 800.

Several months ago, the church decided to add a balcony that would accommodate another 225 people. On this Easter Sunday, the church will have the balcony ready for use. This will put the auditorium’s seating capacity at 1,000.

In 2006, the church averaged 375 in worship, but God has blessed the church with excellent music, strong expository preaching, and an expectant and excited congregation and the church has flourished.

Pastor Snapp stated, “Victory Baptist is an exciting fellowship of believers that exalts Christ above all. It is my aspiration that Victory Baptist will be a preaching, teaching, and reaching church. God’s Word is to be boldly proclaimed without hesitation or reservation, yet with compassion. We are to ‘speak the truth in love.’”

When Victory Baptist Church moved into its new facilities in 2014 Pastor Snapp emphasized, “Victory is not promoting a building program or people. We are here to promote Jesus. Our primary focus continues to be one of service to those in need and spreading the message of hope to everyone.”

The Bible tells us that when Jesus is lifted up He promised to draw all men unto Himself. Barry Snapp and Victory is doing just that and God is honoring His promise. Many are present for the worship services at Victory and many are being saved.
