WARNER ROBINS — Attendees to the Georgia Baptist Evangelism Conference Jan. 27-28 at Central Baptist Church will be encouraged and equipped to share the gospel, says Levi Skipper.
Skipper, lead strategist for Evangelism of the Georgia Baptist Mission Board, points to the need for pastors and church leaders to be reminded of the importance of evangelism.
“Everyone needs motivation. Motivation creates momentum, especially in the area of evangelism,” he told The Index. “That is why you will want to join us at the Reach Conference.”
The speaking lineup includes:
Ronnie Floyd, president, SBC Executive Committee
Bill Purvis – pastor, Cascade Hills Church in Columbus
Bill Fay – author, “Share Jesus Without Fear”
Jason Britt – pastor, Bethlehem Church
Joel Southerland – executive director of Evangelism, North American Mission Board; pastor, Peavine Baptist Church, Rock Spring
Hal Seed – lead pastor, New Song Community Church, Oceanside, Calif.
Chris Gnanakan – professor, Liberty University John W. Rawlings School of Divinity; and
Brian Bloye – senior pastor, West Ridge Church in Hiram.
Worship will be led by the Gerald Malloy Band.
On Tuesday, Seed will host a Lunch & Learn with the topic: “9 things to do when you have a new believer in your church.” The $7 registration includes a Chick-fil-A boxed lunch. Seating will be limited to the first 100 to respond.
Other than the lunch & learn, no cost or registration is required for the evangelism conference. Click here for more information about the conference.
“There will be gospel-centered fellowship, encouragement, and instruction leaning us further into the Great Commission,” Skipper adds. “Come and meet your new evangelism staff and catch the mission of this team.”
