Scripture for today: Proverbs 6:6-11
I am reading a book by Grant Cardone entitled “The 10X rule.” Cardone says that if you want to be successful you must work ten times harder than everyone else. No one has become a success without hard work. But business owners say it’s tough to find people who will work hard today.
Proverbs 6:6-11 speaks to this. The text reads, “Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise! Though they have no prince or governor or ruler to make them work, they labor hard all summer, gathering food for the winter. But you, lazybones, how long will you sleep? When will you wake up? A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest.”
Are you a good employee? Do you get to work on time? While there, do you do an honest day’s work.
You may hate your job. If so, you may need to find another job, but you also need to work hard at the job you have while you have it.
My wife is a great employee. I have seen her go to work with a migraine headache. She is reliable and hard-working.
What about you? Can your boss count on you?
May I also add that no one owes you anything? You may get a job and begin to feel that your job owes you something You have a job. Be thankful for that.
Someone has said, “The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.”
Hard work is a key to success. No one has ever become successful without hard work. If you have a job, do your job well today.
