CLEVELAND — Truett McConnell University (TMU) announces the Anabaptist Tour 2021, led by Emir and Hana Caner. Participants will travel June 13-28 with five Anabaptist scholars on a tour through the sacrificial steps of those who gave it all for the Gospel.

Locations included in the tour are Vienna, Austria; Mikulov and Prague, Czech Republic; Bonn, Germany; Switzerland; and Venice, Italy. Tourgoers will have the opportunity to see where Anabaptist forefathers walked, preached, and taught, and where many became martyrs for Christ.

“The freedoms that we enjoy today were paved through the bloody cobblestone streets walked by the Anabaptists,” said TMU President Emir Caner. “This trip, which is our fourth Anabaptist Tour, is a powerful, beautiful, and inspirational reminder of the ultimate sacrifices of the leaders of the Free Church movement.”

Amid the rugged beauty of these destinations, the lives and accomplishments of significant Anabaptists such as Conrad Grebel, Felix Manz, George Blaurock, and Michael Sattler will plant a soul-stirring conviction of evangelism in one’s heart. Other sites include the secret compartments, where Anabaptists evaded capture, and the prison cells for those arrested for New Testament truth.

“Join us as we travel to caves where the persecuted worshiped to the cities where they were burned at the stake, from the rivers and seas where they were drowned to the castles where they were imprisoned and then sent to slave ships,” said Caner. “Your mind will be challenged, your faith deepened, your heart encouraged. We will celebrate and commemorate the living faith of dead men.”

This 16-day expedition has just 25 seats available which is presumed to reach capacity rapidly. Interested participants can register now by emailing anabaptisttour@truett.edu. The cost is $3,995 and includes airfare, charters, hotels, and food.
