MOUNT VERNON, Ga. — Brewton-Parker College hosted its 7th Annual Southern Classic Golf Tournament, presented by Metter Ford at the Willow Lake Golf Club, in Metter, Ga., on Friday, April 5, 2024. Through the generous support of business sponsors and local teams, the event had 84 players and raised over $30,000.

ROCKAWAY BEACH, Mo. — In just seven days, Bridge of Faith Community Church witnessed incredible transformation through fellowship and service. String Strong, a one-day string orchestra camp, will be held at Truett McConnell University in Cleveland, Ga., on Saturday, June 15, from 9am - 5pm, culminating in a concert at the end of the day. 

SYLVANIA, Ga. — Despite his planned retirement, pastor Charlie Cooper knew in his heart that he wanted to still have opportunities to preach. The night before his last Sunday preaching at First Baptist Sylvania in February 2021, Cooper prayed that the Lord would still be able to use him.

Quoting an unknown author, Queen started the conversation honestly. “Evangelism is a conversation between two people who are nervous,” he said.

ALPHARETTA, Ga. — More than 300 women from across the United States and Canada attended a Women’s Evangelism Conference at the North American Mission Board last week.  The event challenged women to be part of what God is doing to expand His kingdom as they proclaim the gospel.

There was an affliction in our world that affected many school-age children while I was growing up. This epidemic had no known origin, and the long-term repercussions were never documented. This dreaded disease was only transferred among members of the opposite sex, and the only hope for a cure was to give the disease away to someone else.

I became a Christian at the age of 16 through the witness of my girlfriend, who has now been my wife for 47 years. Not only do we renew our commitment to each other as a couple every day, but we as individuals renew our commitment to God every day.

RATCLIFF, Ky. (KT) – A multi-church revival at Kentucky's Stithton Baptist Church lifted spirits, brought people to the altar to pray and swept up 30 youth to become new believers in Jesus last week.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Midwestern Seminary celebrated the election of Donald S. Whitney to full-time faculty during the institution’s spring trustee meeting on Tuesday, April 9. Whitney will fill the John H. Powell Endowed Chair of Pastoral Ministry, serving as professor of biblical spirituality and director of the forthcoming Center for Biblical Spirituality at Midwestern Seminary.

When Wayne Myers, a retired International Mission Board missionary, returns to visit Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) he never goes alone. He wants churches in the United States to catch the vision he has for the church in Eswatini. So, he always takes a short-term mission team with him.

BROOKHAVEN, Miss. — Easthaven Church in Brookhaven dedicated a massive cross on Good Friday. The cross is one of the newest of 14 crosses of this magnitude scattered across the state, the most recent being built in Aberdeen. Hundreds attended the formal dedication ceremony. The 150-foot-tall cross, which cost approximately $200,000, was erected on the church’s property and is visible from I-55.

He has successfully connected his church with the community because he is intricately bonded with the community himself.

ROME, Ga. — Dr. Heath Hooper, dean of the College of Business at Shorter University, recently starred in the Extra Special People (ESP) Rome Big Hoops charity basketball game.

DALLAS, Texas  — GuideStone has received the 2024 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award. This award recognizes the most engaged workplace cultures in the world. Gallup found that GuideStone continued to engage and develop its team in innovative ways.
