Broad Street Baptist Church in Hawkinsville, GA is looking for a hardworking, outgoing, and humble man to serve as the Minister of Youth and Activities in our church. This individual must have a desire to spend time and invest in the lives of students. He needs to be willing to work with a youth committee and have a desire to be involved in the community. He will be required to teach students in our community Christian Learning Center in addition to responsibilities of teaching and leading students in the church. Some administrative skills will be needed to perform the Activities responsibilities. He also must be able to fill the pulpit in the absence of the pastor. Above all, he should be theologically sound (adhering to the BF&M 2000), committed to serving Christ, able to communicate Biblical truth well, and focused on discipleship, his own as well as that of others under his ministry. Commentary: First things first

To me, the idea of “first things first” has always made beautiful sense. Therefore, one might ask, “Just what is the first thing I should do?” There is one act that eclipses all other things in importance that one might possibly do on earth, and it must be done while living on earth. And that one most important of all things is trusting Jesus Christ as Savior through sincere belief in Him as God and in calling on Him for salvation.

Arkansas church celebrates return to worship center 17 months after tornado

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Parkway Place Church on Sunday, Aug. 25., celebrated the return to their worship center 17 months after severe weather caused major damage to their facility. On March 29, 2023, a tornado, categorized as an EF-3 by the National Weather Service, with winds of more than 165 mph, tore through areas of Little Rock, North Little Rock, and Jacksonville leaving devastation in its wake.
