Peek accepts pastorate of First Baptist Moultrie

On Dec. 8 Matt Peek accepted a call to become the next pastor of First Baptist Church in Moultrie. His first Sunday at the church will be Jan. 5.
Peek has served as pastor of First Baptist Church in Pelham for the last five-and-a-half years. Previously, he had been minister of youth at First Baptist Moultrie from May 2009-June 2014. Prior to that he was minister of youth at East Vernon Baptist Church in LaGrange.
Peek is a member of the Georgia Baptist Convention Executive Committee and Administration Committee. He will be joined by his wife, Leigh, and their children Maddie Claire, 7; John David, 6; Ellie, 4; and Ruthie, 15 months.
Peek succeeds Wayne Woods as pastor, who served in that role for more than ten years at the church before retiring.
