DULUTH — The latest numbers indicate that attendance for the SPARK Conference will easily outpace previous years’ figures for the annual training event sponsored by the Georgia Baptist Mission Board.

“Our team is very excited about the growing registration for SPARK 2020!” said Scott Sullivan, Discipleship catalyst for GBMB Church Strengthening and director for SPARK.

“As of July 13, we have over 3,000 individuals registered, mostly from Georgia. This nearly triples our engagement from last year’s conference and we still have six weeks to go.”

SPARK, previously known as Go Georgia, will occur exclusively online this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Scheduled for Aug. 28, those registered beforehand will receive access to more than 50 training sessions among as many leaders. Bonus content will become available Aug. 29, with all of it accessible for free until Sept. 22.

At that point, a year’s access for an individual will cost $10. Church-wide access comes to $29 while $99 provides the materials for an association.

Keynote speakers will be International Mission Board President Paul Chitwood; Peace Baptist Church, Decatur Pastor Tyrone Barnette; and Long Hollow Baptist Church, Hendersonville, Tenn. Pastor Robby Gallaty. Mark Hall with Casting Crowns will be special guests of the event.

For more information on serving as a host for the event, go to TheSparkConference.com and click “Claim My Free Ticket” to go through the registration process. Look for the hosting option. In addition, a social media kit will be included to help in promoting the training event.

The list of attendees will only grow, said Sullivan.

“Once we get our six state partners registered, SPARK will be one of the most impactful total church-equipping conferences in the nation," he stated.
