Alice Holt honored for 20 years of children's ministry at First Baptist Ellijay

Alice Holt, director of preschool and children’s ministry at First Baptist Church of Ellijay, was recently honored for 20 years of service.

For two decades, Alice has faithfully served the children of First Baptist Ellijay and the surrounding community. She oversees all things in children’s ministry: Sunday school, Wednesday night Bible studies and activities, vacation Bible school, CentriKid camp, and much more. Her passion is to provide much more than a “baby-sitting service” for our church and community, but to truly disciple children as they grow in their understanding of and relationship with God. She has a heart for reaching children in our community as well as those whose families are regular church members.

Alice and her husband Chris are proud parents of Drew and Jordan, in-laws to Jordan’s husband Caleb, and grandparents to Caleb and Jordan’s recent addition, Adaline.

When she’s not at work, Alice enjoys time on the baseball field with her son and husband, heading out on the lake on the boat, and relaxing on the couch with coffee and a good book.

Alice’s life and ministry have been a true blessing to the families of FBC Ellijay and our community for an amazing 20 years.
