Breakout sessions added to Georgia Baptist Mission Board's regional evangelism conferences

The Georgia Baptist Mission Board's regional evangelism conferences are set for February and March.

A series of regional evangelism conferences organized by the Georgia Baptist Mission Board and scheduled for early next year have several new features, and one of them is the addition of breakout sessions.

The objective of the conferences set for February and March is to encourage and equip churches in evangelism, and the breakout sessions are designed to address the equipping component. While the breakout sessions are intentionally geared toward both church leaders and members who serve within various ministries within the church, they all have one thing in common ­– an evangelistic thrust. Below, is the list of breakout sessions: being offered the conference:

Ride the Waves. Learn how to leverage attendance bumps in your church. Held at all Regional locations by Dr. Levi Skipper, Church Strengthening Lead Strategist, Georgia Baptist Mission Board.

No Sweat Evangelism. Learn a simple method to share the gospel. Held at all Regional locations by Steve Foster, Evangelism Consultant for the Georgia Baptist Mission Board.

Domino Effect. Learn how to intentionally develop a culture in your church that makes Jesus known to others. Held at all Regional locations, Dr. Brad Marchman, Evangelism Consultant, Georgia Baptist Mission Board.

The GO In Our Gospel: Learn 8 promises for everyday evangelism. Held at all locations by Dallas White, Young Leader Collective Coordinator, Georgia Baptist Mission Board. 

Keeping Soulwinning a Priority on a Mission Trip. Learn how to prioritize evangelism for your mission trips.  Held at all Regional locations by Buck Burch, Missions Catalyst, Georgia Baptist Mission Board.

Assessing a Mission Field: Knowing the Soil to Help the Sower. Learn how to both evaluate and engage a mission field.  Held at all Regional locations by Rolando Castro, Church Planting Consultant, Georgia Baptist Mission Board.

Pastors Taking the Lead in Evangelism: Learn both why and how pastors should model personal evangelism for their church.  Held at the Central Regions location by Rev. Fred Luter, Jr., Franklin Avenue Baptist Church in New Orleans, LA.

The Gospel-Driven Association: Associational Mission Strategists will learn strategic ways to assist their pastors and churches to be Gospel-Driven Churches.  Held at the Central Regions location by Dr. Ray Gentry, Associational Mission Strategist, Southside Network.

Creating a Culture of Evangelism in the Association. Associational Mission Strategists will learn how to build a culture of evangelism within their local association. Held at the Southern Regions location by Rev. Jimmy Blanton, Associational Mission Strategist, Columbus Baptist Association.

How to Raise the Temperature of Evangelism in a Local Association. Associational Mission Strategists will learn how to advance the gospel within their local association. Held at the Northern Regions location by Rev. David Franklin, Associational Mission Strategist, Bartow Baptist Association.

Furthermore, the Lunch & Learn held at all regional locations and led by Dr. Steven Gaines (Pastor of Bellevue Baptist in Memphis, TN) is another exciting equipping opportunity. Dr. Gaines will teach on how to create a culture of evangelism in your church.  The lunch & learn add-on option is $10.00, and it includes a Chick-Fi-La Box lunch and the 8x10 Share Jesus booklet that Dr. Gaines will be using.

The Central Regions Conference will be held February 27–28 at Turning Point at Mable White in Macon.

The Southern Regions Conference will be held March 6–7 at FBC Tifton in Tifton.

The Northern Regions Conference will be held March 13–14 at FBC Cumming in Cumming.
