Brewton-Parker Christian University announces “Celebrate the U” weekend

MOUNT VERNON, Ga. — Brewton-Parker proudly announces a significant milestone in its history. On July 1, 2025, it officially became Brewton-Parker Christian University (BPCU)! This new name reflects more than just institutional growth—it captures a legacy of faith, service, and learning that has shaped generations since 1904.

To honor this transformational moment, BPCU invites alumni, students, families, and friends to “Celebrate the U” on August 22–23, 2025, at the Mount Vernon campus. The weekend will pair its annual convocation with a formal recognition of the name change, a student-alumni choir performance, campus arch dedication, sports events, and family-friendly activities—all designed to remember the faithful path behind us and give thanks for the future ahead.

Since its founding, BPCU has been committed to a biblically-centered education that develops the whole student through academic and spiritual transformation. The celebration offers an opportunity to gather as a community rooted in these values, reflecting on the university’s heritage and embracing its future mission.

Registration is free and open to all, though registration is requested for all planning to attend. For more information and to register, visit www.bpc.edu/celebrate-the-u.
