MOUNT VERNON, Ga. — Brewton-Parker College proudly announces that 100% of the inaugural class from its Bachelor of Science in Nursing program has successfully passed the National Council Licensure Examination on their first attempt. This outstanding success underscores the college's unwavering commitment to excellence in nursing education and its dedication to preparing future healthcare professionals.

This cohort of nursing students celebrated their graduation in April at BPC's 118th Commencement Ceremony, marking a historic moment as the institution's first nursing graduates. They have all successfully passed the rigorous NCLEX-RN, a test designed to evaluate the competency of nursing candidates. Achieving a 100% pass rate is a testament to the quality of BPC's nursing program, which integrates a comprehensive curriculum, hands-on clinical experiences, and dedicated faculty support with a biblical worldview.

Dr. Debbi Bryarly, Director of Nursing, expressed her pride in the accomplishment. "This is a momentous milestone for our college and our nursing program. The success of our first cohort reflects the hard work and dedication of our students, faculty, and staff. It also speaks volumes about the strength of our program and the commitment to providing exceptional education in nursing."

Launched in 2021 and approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing and SACSCOC, the BSN program at BPC integrates theoretical knowledge with practical skills through extensive clinical practice and personalized instruction. Under the leadership of Dr. Bryarly, the program's demanding curriculum, state-of-the-art medical equipment, and focus on holistic education have produced highly skilled and compassionate nurses prepared to meet regional healthcare needs.

President Dr. Steven Echols highlighted the significance of this achievement for the institution."We are incredibly proud of our nursing graduates and our entire nursing program professors and staff." President Echols further stated, "Their success is a reflection of the high standards we set for our program and our commitment to graduating outstanding healthcare professionals. We are excited to train nurses who have received not only a level of excellence in their program instruction but also have received it in the context of a biblical worldview that they may be equipped to be ambassadors for Christ in the healthcare field.”

As BPC celebrates this milestone, the institution remains committed to providing a liberal arts and professional education to meet the growing demand for skilled nurses. The college looks forward to the continued success of its nursing program and the positive contributions its graduates will make to the healthcare community.
