Brayson Dean was licensed into the gospel ministry Sunday, July 14, 2024 , at Blacks Creek Baptist Church in Commerce, Ga.  Brayson accepted the call to the ministry while attending Student Life Camp in 2021. Since then, he has accepted opportunities to preach and share his testimony in churches, at summer camps and with FCA students in his community.

Brayson is also a gifted drummer who has enjoyed Surge150 Music camp the past three years and Reelfest, both led by Rhon Carter, the Georgia Baptist Mission Board’s worship & music catalyst, and his team.

"Brayson Dean is a talented young drummer whom I've had the pleasure of knowing over the past few years through our GBMB Music and Worship events," Carter said, "He has consistently demonstrated a willingness to serve in any role we've given him. Seeing him respond to God’s call to ministry and taking this significant step is truly inspiring. I'm excited to see where the Lord will lead him and the many lives that will be encouraged and discipled through his ministry.”

Carter added, “His dedication and commitment to serving others are a testament to his character and faith.”

Brayson will attend Truett McConnell University this fall and has received the Calling Out the Called scholarship from the GBMB.
