From the churches: From church in a pew to church in a park

GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Montgomery Memorial Baptist Church in Gainesville hosted a very unique service on August 11. We packed our grills, food, chairs, sound equipment, drinks and our families and headed to Church in the Park.
On any normal Sunday morning you would find us worshipping in our beautiful sanctuary. But on this particular Sunday, we packed the park. We had around 300 in attendance, wonderful worship, a great message from our Pastor, Darryl Womack, and the food was delicious. But, the best part of the service was watching 13 people be baptized in the lake! Praise the Lord!
“I wish we could do this every Sunday” was a common statement we heard from our members.
We feel like it is important to create unique experiences for our families. Our staff is always looking for unique ways to minister to our congregation and I believe that’s exactly what we witnessed on August 11th.
We thank God for what he’s doing in and through the people of Montgomery Memorial Baptist Church. We are blessed!
