MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. — Georgia pastor Tim Oliver has authored a new devotional book, Chapter a Day, that’s now available on Amazon and Kindle.
Since 2017, Oliver, pastor at Lakeside Baptist Church in Milledgeville, has been writing daily devotionals, going through the books of the Bible one chapter at a time.
In this volume, Oliver walks readers through the life of Christ and the history of the early church through devotionals based on the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, as well as the Book of Acts.
“These short devotionals are perfect for daily Bible study or small groups, and for anyone who wants to improve their knowledge of the Bible,” Amazon says in an online promotion of Chapter a Day. “They can be used as a guide to your own devotions or as a supplement to them, always in addition to the Scripture, never in place of them.”
Oliver, a beloved preacher who serves as chairman of the Georgia Baptist Convention’s Administration Committee, has been serving in ministry 35 years, the last 20 of which have been at Lakeside.
Amazon is encouraging people to read the Chapter a Day devotionals “in the morning as you start your day or in the evening to finish well.”
Oliver also posts fresh devotional messages every day on the church website.
