Georgia Baptist messengers urged to present resolutions by Nov. 7 for consideration at upcoming annual meeting

SNELLVILLE, Ga. — Georgia Baptist messengers who want to submit resolutions for consideration at the upcoming annual meeting are being urged to do so Nov. 7.

That gives the Georgia Baptist Convention’s Committee on Resolutions time to review them before the annual meeting, which is set for Nov. 12-14 at the Church on Main in Snellville, said Mike Griffin, the Georgia Baptist Mission Board’s public affairs representative.

Resolutions can be emailed to Griffin at mgriffin@gabaptist.org. He asks that any messenger submitting a resolution include his or her name, cell phone number, church name, city, and email address.

Messengers also have the option to present resolutions directly to the recording secretary no later than the end of the annual meeting’s Nov. 13 evening session. That gives the Committee on Resolutions time to consider them and, if deemed appropriate, prepare them for a vote by messengers on Nov. 14.

The Committee on Resolutions,
chaired by Calhoun First Baptist Church Pastor John Barber, is scheduled to meet Nov. 13 to consider all resolutions.
