Georgia Baptists attending the Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting this June are invited to gather for an evening of fellowship, encouragement, and connection during the Georgia Baptist Fellowship event hosted by the Georgia Baptist Mission Board.
The event will take place on Monday, June 8, immediately following the evening session of the SBC Pastors Conference at the Orange County Convention Center. Georgia Baptists will meet in Room 315 of the West Concourse for food, fellowship, and giveaways.
The annual gathering provides an opportunity for Georgia Baptists from across the state to reconnect with friends, meet fellow pastors and ministry leaders, and celebrate the cooperative work being done through Georgia Baptist churches and ministries.
“We always look forward to our fellowship each year at the Southern Baptist Convention because Georgia Baptists understand that relationships are the foundation that makes our ministry together in Georgia and beyond strong,” said Andy Childs, assistant executive director of the Georgia Baptist Mission Board.
Attendees can expect an informal atmosphere designed to encourage fellowship and strengthen relationships among Georgia Baptists attending the national meeting.
“I look forward to laughing, eating, and, of course, give-aways, as we encourage one another in Orlando,” Childs said. “I hope every Georgia Baptist will take time on Monday night to stop by.”
The fellowship event has become a popular annual gathering point for Georgia Baptists attending the SBC annual meeting, offering a reminder of the partnerships and friendships that sustain ministry throughout the year.
“The Georgia Baptist fellowship allows us to connect with friends from across our state, and gives us an opportunity to make new friends,” Childs added.
Georgia Baptists attending the SBC annual meeting are encouraged to stop by following the Monday evening session and spend time connecting with fellow believers from across the state.
