DULUTH — A time of prayer Aug. 2-9 will bring churches from across the state together to focus on God’s healing power for unrest and conflict permeating the nation, say Georgia Baptist leaders.
Pray Georgia is described as a “solemn assembly” and will begin Sunday, Aug. 2. Over the following six days ending on Saturday, Georgia Baptists will pray over six areas: repentance, salvation, unity, healing, renewal, and wisdom. On a specified day, churches in a particular ministry region will be encouraged to take part in a time of prayer and fasting in addition to the prayer emphasis.
Further plans are in development to culminate the event Sunday, Aug. 9 with a statewide event. More information will be forthcoming.
