Georgia pastor loses home to fire

DOUGLAS, Ga. — A Georgia pastor lost his home Sunday, July 7, when it burned down. Pastor George Paulk of First Baptist Broxton was not home at the time, and no one was injured  in the blaze.  Paulk's wife, Judy, resides in an assisted living facility.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

Mike Taylor, associational missions strategist with the Smyrna Baptist Association,  says the association is collecting funds to help Paulk, who is highly thought of. "He can quote more Scripture from memory, Taylor says of Paulk, "than  anyone I've ever seen."
