ATLANTA - The Georgia State Patrol is competing in this year's "America's Best Looking Cruiser" contest. The contest, conducted by the American Association of State Troopers, is in its 9th year.

The winner, determined by popular vote, will receive the "America's Best Looking Cruiser" award and be featured on the cover of the association's 2023 wall calendar, which will feature the top 13 paint schemes.

The Georgia State Patrol has won the award three times, in 2020, 2018, and 2017.  The force's distinctive gray and blue scheme is currently in fourth place, with one day left in the voting. This year's Georgia entry salutes the two champion sports teams from the state,  the World Series Champion Atlanta Braves and the College Football National Champion Georgia Bulldogs.

Currently in the lead is the striped black and yellow design of the Tennessee Highway Patrol. The Kentucky State Police, with its own gray and blue colors, is in second, followed by the California Highway Patrol's classic black and white paint in third.

Once printed, the calendars will be available from the association, and all proceeds will benefit the American Association of State Troopers Foundation.

Votes can be cast until 5:00pm EST, Aug.25, 2022, at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/QHXV8ZS.
