Jubal Ministries celebrate 'Victory in Christ' in 2026

SAINT SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. — The annual Jubal Ministries Retreat was recently held on Saint Simons with more than 400 in attendance. Jubal Ministries Director Jon Duncan shared, “Our ‘theme’ for the season is ‘Victory in Christ—His Achievement, His Triumph, His Reign.’ We will be presenting the amazing message of hope through music! It is because of what He did on the cross and that which He continues to do that provides a reason to sing, a reason to live, and a reason to share.”

The first concert of 2026 will be held at FBC Opelika, Alabama, on Feb. 5. It will consist of the full Jubal Chorus (Sons of Jubal, Jubalheirs, and Jubal Orchestra). The time will be 8:00 p.m. ET and 7:00 p.m. CT. with prelude music beginning 30 minutes before.

Judd Greer, the new president of the Sons of Jubal, said, “I'm excited about the upcoming 2026 season with Jubal Ministries Incorporated. We are looking at new and fresh opportunities to engage people of all ages into the Jubal Ministries.” Greer, who serves as associate pastor of Music and Worship at the First Baptist Church of Butler, Georgia, has previously served as one of the regional vice-presidents of the Sons of Jubal for the past five years.

Greer stated that one of the projects in the works for this year will be producing “the great recordings and content we've had for years on all streaming platforms. Connecting with all the generations, in worship, and to gather around the cross of Christ.”

He also added, “We're excited, honored to be celebrating in 2026 Jon Duncan being with us for 25 years as the musical director for Jubal Ministries.” Duncan is retired from the Georgia Baptist Mission Board and is currently a senior professor of Church Music and Worship at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.
