Kennesaw State falls to UNC Asheville 79-70


ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Kennesaw State fell to UNC Ashville 79-70 on Saturday despite strong effort from Terrell Burden who finished with 22 points,.

UNC Asheville's Drew Pember scored 21 points, hitting 2 of 7 from the field and 17 of 18 from the free throw line.  Nicholas McMullen scored 19 points while going 7 of 10 and 4 of 5 from the free-throw line, and added 11 rebounds and three blocks. Josh Banks was 5 of 12 shooting (2 for 7 from 3-point range) to finish with 13 points, while adding 11 rebounds.

Kennesaw's Burden finished with seven assists and two steals. Simeon Cottle added 12 points for Kennesaw State. In addition, Quincy Adekokoya had 12 points. The loss ended a five-game winning streak for the Owls.
