Luther Rice signs articulation agreement with the Technical College System of Georgia to launch new bi-vocational ministry degrees

LITHONIA, Ga. — On March 10, 2026, Luther Rice College & Seminary entered into an articulation agreement with the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG), expanding educational pathways for students who wish to integrate trade certifications with Christian ministry preparation. The agreement creates new opportunities for students enrolled in TCSG institutions to transfer credits toward existing and newly developed programs at Luther Rice, equipping graduates for both the workforce and ministry.

"We pioneered distance theological education more than 60 years ago," said Dr. Steve Steinhilber, President of Luther Rice College & Seminary. "Today we are pioneering again - creating academic pathways designed specifically for the Christian in bivocational careers."

As part of the agreement, Luther Rice has launched the Bachelor of Arts in Workforce and Ministry Readiness, a first-of-its-kind program designed for students pursuing a technical trade and preparing for ministry. Through the partnership, students earn a trade credential through a TCSG institution and complete their biblical studies 100% online through Luther Rice.

For students pursuing a trade who also aspire to grow as entrepreneurs, managers, or future business owners, Luther Rice has launched the Bachelor of Arts in Business and Trade Administration. This innovative degree allows students t o pair their trade certification from a Technical College System of Georgia institution with online business studies from Luther Rice. Graduates will be equipped with the knowledge and high-demand skill set the marketplace can trust. Both degree programs allow students to transfer general education credits and up to 45 credit hours of trade-related coursework from a TCSG college, making it possible to integrate technical training with biblical and professional education.
